Lara es una niña que quiere jugar, ama la televisión, su celular y tiene que escuchar las ¨terribles¨ exigencias de su mamá… ¡¡como leer!! No tiene privacidad en su casa, tiene que hacer sus tareas, comer sus vegetales y es obligada a leer para una exposición de Rafael Pombo (posiblemente el hombre más aburridor de la historia). Al leer unas líneas, se queda dormida y descubre un mágico mundo donde varios de los personajes de las historias de Pombo se conocen y toman vida. La historia (según Rin Rin) se pone un tanto enredada. Lara descubrirá al final que Llegar a Conocer a Rafael Pombo y la lectura, no están tan mal después de todo.

Lara is a girl that wants to play, loves her TV and cell phone and has to listen to her mom who only demands ¨terrible¨ things all the time… like reading! She has no privacy at her home, has to do homework, eat her veggies and is forced to read for an essay on Rafael Pombo (maybe the dullest guy in history). While reading a few lines she falls asleep and discovers a magical world where several characters from Pombo's stories meet and come to life. This story gets (in the words of Rin Rin the Tadpole)… a little twisted. Lara will finally discover that Getting to Know Rafael Pombo and reading, aren't that bad after all.
